The Kidney Kids team is a group of individuals passionate about providing support to children, young people, and their families experiencing the difficulties of kidney disease. Support needs vary from family to family and our team strives to provide appropriate support where needed.
Although our team is based in Auckland, we travel nationwide to meet with our kidney kids and their families.

Rachel has a nursing background with extensive experience working within the renal area for the past ten years. As a trained nurse she will offer education, support, advocacy, and awareness, both with Kidney Kid families and communities throughout New Zealand.

I am proud to be a part of a great team of hard-working dedicated people who are supporting families and children with Kidney disorders. I have a family myself and have 2 teenage children. My passion has always been working with people. I worked previously for The Living Kidney Donor Program a Charity based in Sydney and have worked in Aged Care. Both roles were extremely fulfilling. I was lucky enough to visit camp KeeWee in 2019 and meet some of our families and see first-hand the children laughing, smiling, chatting and having a wonderful time meeting new friends and experiencing new activities. I really look forward to getting to know our families better.

Juliet is a registered Social Worker for over 15 years having worked in NGO’s and government organisations in Aotearoa and London. In recent years she has worked at Christchurch hospital and been a private Social Work contractor to ACC and in the foster care sector. In her role at Kidney kids she is available to support the tamariki and their whānau as directed by them. She can advocate for you within the heath system and be a listening ear outside of the family when needed. As well as having fun at the Kidney Kids social events!
Juliet has 3 tamariki and lives in Canterbury with them, her husband and ginger tabby cat. She loves to read a good book and get outside for a walk and fresh air as much as possible.
